Bolton-based waste disposal and recycling company Lostock Skip Hire has modernised its 30-vehicle fleet by investing in HIAB to keep up with the demand of its ever-growing business.

Lostock’s is a family-run business that has been in the waste disposal and recycling industry for more than 30 years. Offering commercial and domestic waste removal across Bolton, Bury, Wigan, and Preston.

The business has invested in 28 brand-new HIAB Futura skiploaders across 12t and 18t chassis and two Multilift Ultima 24S hookloaders on 32t chassis.

The upgraded fleet is also benefitting the environment, HIAB Futura skiploaders are made with lightweight steel and installed on incredibly fuel-efficient trucks that will help to reduce CO2 emissions emitted by the vehicles and improve overall air quality.

Joanna Dyke, Director at Lostock Skip Hire, said: “We have a mix of domestic and commercial customers across Lancashire and Greater Manchester who require quick turnaround when it comes to collecting waste and we know this new equipment will help us meet growing demand.

“After initially hiring out one of the Hiab MULTILIFT skiploaders for a few weeks, our drivers had really good feedback on the ease of operation, reliability, and performance. Off the back of that, we took the plunge and invested again to strengthen our entire fleet.

The trucks have also been fitted with FORS cameras which will improve health and safety and give drivers extra peace of mind when out on the road. The newer wagons are also
equipped with AI cameras, leading Lostock’s to achieve DVSA Earned Recognition.

Dek Butler, MULTILIFT specialist for Hiab added: “We’re really pleased to supply Lostock Skip Hire with these brand-new skiploaders to complete their fleet. The Futura skiploaders are made of EvoLight™, our lightweight steel construction, which gives more payload without compromising strength. This means customers can haul more while saving fuel and reducing CO2 emissions. I’m confident the new equipment will help to streamline operations and will help Lostock’s meet the demand of their growing business.”
