CARGOTEC CORPORATION, TRADE RELEASE, 5 APRIL 2022 AT 09:00 AM EST

Hiab will launch a new specialized drywall crane model HIAB K-HiPro 515 for the North American market. It introduces true continuous slewing with a reach of nine floors to fulfill demanding drywall and roofing material delivery jobs.

The new crane will be displayed at Hiab’s booth #100 at the INTEX Expo that will take place in Grapevine, Texas, from 6-7 April 2022.

“The advanced design and the new features of HIAB K-HiPro 515 answer our customers' needs. The true continuous slewing combined with long reach and strength makes it possible for operators to deliver material with the help of the remote control, instead of moving the whole truck, saving time and money,” says Terry Fidler, Director, Sales Business Support, Hiab USA.

The HIAB K-HiPro 515 is the first drywall crane with true continuous slewing, and the rotational design increases the flexibility of material loading and placement, reducing time needed for the lifting operations. The design further increases durability and the available torque, with an outstanding figure of maximum slope of 5.5°.

The outreach of the HIAB K-HiPro 515 is the equivalent of nine floors, and it has a lifting capacity of 296,400 foot-pound force (ft-lbs). The reach makes it possible to serve several types of buildings and to place the building material far from the truck, making it suitable for most worksite environments.

All HIAB drywall cranes are equipped with the industry-leading HIAB HiPro remote control for improved safety and productivity. It gives operators more flexibility in finding the best working space and field of vision. HiPro supports features such as LSS (Load Stability System for vertical movements), VSL+ (Variable Stability Logic Plus) and ASC (Automatic Speed Control).

The new model has access to Hiab’s HiConnect™ platform. It provides real-time insights into equipment utilization, operation, and condition, that optimizes performance and safety and avoids unnecessary downtime. HiConnect™ can also be used to plan maintenance based on actual usage.

HIAB K-HiPro 515 is available to order now.
