Sustainable operations have long been at the top of the agenda for French established Noblet Group who have recently invested in the first 100% electric Renault D Wide Z.E 6x2 equipped with the Hiab HiPro 142 ES-3 loader crane.

Established over 40 years ago, the Paris based company specialises in the rental of construction machinery, trucks and excavators across the Paris region. In the past 10 years, Noblet Group has seen great achievements in their commitment to reducing carbon emissions in the transport sector. They signed an agreement with l’ADEME (Agence de l’Environnement et de la Maîtrise de l’Energie) (French Environment and Energy Management Agency) in 2013 and in 2020 achieved the objectives set by the 2030 Paris Agreement. With the new addition of the first 100% electric Renault truck, the company hopes to further reduce emissions by 50% during 2021.

Laurent Galle, Director of Noblet Group chose to equip his electric Renault with the Hiab HiPro 142, a ‘top of the line’ medium segment loader crane which is designed with the most advanced remote controlled system to deliver precision, performance, safety and full control. One key factor when selecting the crane was its ability to run from the battery power of the truck and its useability as a clean electric solution.

Laurent Galle comments; “For us the Hiab HiPro 142 was an obvious choice. The crane compliments our sustainable business approach ensuring full compatibility with electric vehicles. We have in the past worked with diesel powered and gas powered vehicles but now see the fully electric option as a way to further reduce our carbon footprint and to provide competitive advantage.”

Laurent Galle, who is also very concerned by the safety of his operators further comments; “The safety of our crane drivers is extremely important and the advanced HiPro 142 control functions bring ease of operation and increased efficiency in that respect. Hiab were also able to make a bespoke solution with a special working platform for our drivers. Often it is necessary for us to navigate the small streets in the City of Paris where space is tight. The addition of a tipper door and modification on the standing platform allows our drivers to work on the left or right hand side of the vehicle without needing to change position. According to the operators, the HiPro 142 works very fast, it’s very smooth and able to control several functions at the same time: so it increases the productivity ”

We at Hiab are proud to cooperate with Noblet Group in their journey to reduce their carbon footprint and wish Laurent and his team the best of luck with their new clean lifting solution, the HiPro 142 ES-3.
