We offer you a challenging position heading Tail Lift’s business unit DEL. You will lead, direct and develop DEL business and all its functions in order to achieve DEL’s short and long-term strategic, financial and operational targets. In this role you will have the full profit and loss responsibility of DEL business. You will drive synergies across Tail Lift Business Line to achieve the Tail Lift’s strategy. You will be reporting to SVP, Tail Lifts. 

The job responsibilities include:

  • Accountable for P&L, balance sheet and cash position
  • Contribute to the strategic business planning  at senior management to develop and implement DEL’s business strategy
  • Set up the annual business plan & budget in accordance with DEL’s, Tail Lift’s and Hiab’s Strategy
  • To lead all functions within DEL (production, engineering, sales, marketing, sourcing and support)
  • To develop and maintain high performing organisation and team in order to meet the business targets and KPIs set for DEL  and develop the business further
  • Set and monitor the performance of the organisation against standards and targets in areas such as manufacturing and administration efficiency, cost control, sales revenue, legal compliance
  • Lead, guide, coach and develop a team of senior managers to ensure good leadership and performance culture throughout the organisation
  • To ensure efficient sales and marketing strategy is implement including taking an active role in key account management
  • Develop the business including new innovations and utilizing new technologies
  • To co-operate closely with other business units in Tail lifts and Hiab to collaborate and share ideas
  • Be an active participant in TL Management team and drive synergies across the business line through common strategic projects and implementation of the business line strategy


Our expectations:

In order to be successful in this position we believe you fulfil the following criteria:

  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant working experience in senior management roles and working with business operations including manufacturing and sales
  • Proven track record of leading, building and developing high performing team in previous roles
  • Master/bachelor degree in relevant field
  • Strategic thinking and analytical way of working for developing and implementing business plans
  • Fact-based approach to measure business performance, setting and following up relevant KPIs and making actions accordingly
  • Sales orientation and key account management
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage and inspire different stakeholders internally and externally
  • Ability to make decisions and execute them
  • Leadership competence and experience to drive best performance and develop team members
  • Proven management skills and ability to influence and engage direct and indirect reports and peers
  • Strong communication and influencing skills when working with different internal and external stakeholders including senior management within Hiab and Cargotec
  • Ability to travel globally
